Fort Russ News is a popular news portal – reaching more than 100,000 readers a day – with a focus primarily on the ‘world-island’ of Eurasia.
Founded at the end of 2014, we are 100% independent. We are not a state-run agency of any kind, nor is our editorial policy ‘swayed’ as a result of grants from NGO’s, ‘charities’, or large trusts.
With 3 million readers a month, we have often featured ‘uncomfortable truths’ which ‘mainstream’ Kremlin backed sources like RT and Sputnik were unable to.
We gave the raw story to readers before RT and Sputnik found the right angle to couch it in. As a result, many of our features and breaking stories have been featured by both of these outlets later on.
We feature original translations – articles and videos – from reporters, analysts, and popular bloggers located in Eurasia. Our subjects primarily revolve around high-trending current geopolitical and geostrategic events, international relations, and economics.
This means the stories and op-eds carried on Fort Russ often can’t be found anywhere else.
Fort Russ bridges the gap between the information available in the Western corporate mainstream media and the reality on the ground.
We do this work because we are concerned about security in the world today, as a new multi-polar world has emerged in the wake of a fading Western led mono-polarity.
We have concerns that these changes will be accompanied by unnecessary war, destruction, and loss of life if the Western public is not informed.
This is why it is essential for the West to hear other perspectives.
Without government funding or corporate sponsorship, we rely on charitable contributions from readers like you. Our paypal link can be found halfway down the page in the right-hand column.
